Is discoloration on the crankshaft normal? Pic.

Replaceing oil pan and rear main yesterday, checked torque on all lower end bolts and noticed discoloration on the crankshaft near the connecting rod bearings. Is this normal or a sign of bearing failure to come? Its hard to see in the pic, but the discoloration looks as is the rod journals were getting too hot.

I've got to get this thing put back in ASAP.
