wont start with codes
Ineed some help here, if anybody has any ideas- have codes 1273, 1274, and 1276. Ive changed out valve cover gaskets and injector-glow plug harness on both sides, ohmed out the wirirng harness from the 42 pin plug to both valve covers, and also from the IDM to the valve covers ,did the injector buzz test and immediately popped up high to low side open on said cylinders. Im starting to run out of ideas here, help please.

The truck is 2000 model 7.3 f350 w/auto trans. all the injectors ohm out at 3.0 ohms all the wiring ohms out at .3 ohms all through the harness. I fixed the leaking drain valve and bled the fuel system out before I got involved with the open circuit nightmare. Sorry I was so wrapped up in thinking about the truck that I forgot to put what Im working on, thanks.

I know this sounds crazy, but what kind of condition are your batteries in?

well 1273 is open injector circuit cylinder 3, 1274 is open injector cylinder 4, 1276 is open injector circuit cylinder 6, need to find the cause of the open injector circuits. You can crank the engine with 10 voltz. But you need a minimum of 10.5 voltz to operate the computer of the truck. Check the voltz of the batteries during the cranking process. If you have less then 10.5 voltz you need to either charge the batteries, or replace them. So all the electrical system will work properly.

Iwill recheck my batteries while cranking to check cranking voltage, when I load tesred the batteries the other day they checked good but I will be sure and recheck for cranking voltage. Thank you Big Countrysg.

Is there any testing procedure for testing IDM,s I think that may be the problem. I got a chance to talk to another mechanic thats better at diesel than I am and he suggested the IDM which is what I was thinking but he cost of one to try would be prohibitive. Ay help at would be greatly appreciated... THANKS

Is there any white smoke when cranking? Have you tried plugging in the truck to see if it starts?

Yes I tried that also and had a battery charger on the whole time I was working on it, by the time I finished the only thing I could think of was possibly the IDM but I thought that I would ask all you guys and see if I missed anything but I dont have a way of borrowing an IDM to try and to buy one to try would be cost prohibitive but anyway thanks for all the help and suggestions. Maybe I can help you all out in the future. THANKS
