White smoke when not under heavy load

Help!! I had a small oil leak for about 6 months. I never got it fixed. While on a 650 mile trip, it started smoking heavy white smoke. Stop and checked the oil. Had to add 6 quarts. Stopped again in 80 miles and added 8 more. Before this I would add a quart a month. The smoke stops when I get on it. Doesnt have the full power either. Did my turbo take a dump? HELP!
Thanks!

I started it again yesterday, and the smoke has died down ALOT. It still smokes tho. I added some diesel additive as well. Anyone know where to start looking?
