EMERGENCY NEED TO KNOW NOW!!!!

ok my stepdad is busy drivin my truck from indiana to louisiana RIGHT NOW and he stopped at a gas station to drain the lizard he gets back in the wait to start light comes on and goes off like it should he goes to starts it and nothing happens, he stranded between nashville and birmingham and doesnt know what to do, can it be a cps? need help asap

no nothing will happen the "wait to start" light comes on then goes off he goes to turn it over and nothin so i was think either cps or cables on starter are lose the truck has never done this bfore

ok update i talkd to him just now and had him remove the fuses and put them back in, the truck started so now im really thinkin cps

Probably a loose ground. Check all elecrical connections coming off the battery and to the starter.

make sure its in park.... Like have him pull it out of park and put it back in... the bushings in my column went out and i couldnt get it started unless i wiggled it around and stuff
