STEALTH AUTOMOTIVE sells a nice Engine Fuel Pressure Kit. Follow the link: Powerstroke Engine Fuel Pressure Kit I am really sorry I cannot help you with your problem, from the look of the codes you have pulled in your OP you have an electrical problem to go along with what you believe to be a fuel problem. Good Luck! |

Were all these codes in memory or active?? I would clear codes and rerun tests to see which ones are active. I take a fuel pressure gauge and remove the line at the fuel pump outlet and run the gauge in line to get pressure at the pump output. You can make a gauge with the quick connect fittings and lines.

the only active code is the P0476. I know my GEM needs to be replaced only cuz of previous problmes, but I waited, cuz i didn't trust the guy helping me, & I guess I need the IDS system to update the GEM to my truck. So I figure the other codes came from that. I just talked to a local guy who is a Ford tech & he told me to check my EBP at the manifold & to lift the bed & pull the tank filters, based on what I told him he thinks it both those issues. tell me how to make the gauge, I'm ordering a fitting from ITP since the local "MECHANICS" can't seem to get it together! Irritates me since I have paid $$$$$$$ of $ to have house calls & get NOTHING done. I'm blind from reading & doing research on this thanks guys, this is why I love the ORG!!!

Is the truck runnin bad no matter what level of fuel is in the tank? A short can cause all kinds of codes to trip, I've replaced hundreds of dollars of parts just to find I had a short that was blowin fuses and throwin the coresponding code. Unfortunately, shorts usually don't stay that way all the time, and unless you're way better with a multimeter than me, they're extremely hard to find. I'm bettin you have a short somewhere, and since it seems like you've got a fuelin issue, I'd start there. Inspect the wires visually, and if you can't find anything that way, start lookin around with a multimeter. Diesels equal vibrations, so it's not uncommon to wear through wires. |

Also, I ain't sure, but I thought we could test fuel pressure with the AE software?
Maybe you have to convert volts? Can't remember for sure. |
