No Power at diagnostic port

I have a 2006 Powerstroke F-350 crew cab that I would like to chip. But I have no power at the diagnostic port. Checked the cig lighter fuse, it was blown. I replaced it and now the lighter works but still no power at the port. Has anybody ever had a similar problem ? And how did you fix it?

yes and none of them seem to be missing or damaged in any way. Nice truck you have there. always wanted a black rig but too much mud in Wyoming.

Well some have said dealers are pulling wires from the OBD port during the latest flashes to halt programmers. It did in fact happen to a friend of mine. He brought it back and now it works. They had no reason as to why it happened. They said the port worked fine when he brought it back. We personally found the wire pulled out. So, I would venture to say "maybe" they are doing it, but highly unlikely. There have been posts on this forum and others about it. Like Dirk said, check all fuses again. Thats most likely the issue.

I did buy this truck from a dealer. under the dash there was a random wire that had what appeared to be factory tape over the end. I looked on the harness and every pin had a matching wire to pin connection. would they pop the pin out if the dealer clipped the wire? the odd wire was white with light green stripe. thank you for you help

I'll call my buddy and see which wire it was. He snapped a pic before it went back. I'm not sure if there is a difference between years. He has an 04.
