Long day ahead
Finally the weather is starting to break in our parts, so yesterday I went out and bought the parts, supplies, and tools I need to bring my truck out of its winter resting place. Sort of on a time crunch considering that resting place has been at the bottom of the hill in the backyard with a 23' boat attached to it. Now said boat is being sold tomorrow morning and unless the buyer comes with a lifted truck with boat loads of torque (pun intended), I have the only piece of machinery capable of pulling it out through the soggy marshland which is known as the backyard.
Overall I believe I can get the truck back to almost full power in a single day, but I don't think I'll be able to get it to 100%. Not that any of it is difficult work, its just very time consuming. My main priority is tear down this morning to install the new high pressure oil pump. Not too painful of a task and can be completed in a few hours. The parts I think will take me a bit longer are the stand-pipes and dummy plugs. I also have to look at injector #5 as I believe it didn't seat properly from when I replaced it.
Anyways, I'm just killing time until I have to get my car inspected this morning, then its full throttle on the truck after that. Just trying to get my head in the game. If any of you folks find yourself near LeRoy today and want a few free cold ones and maybe tackle 1 side while I do the other, let me know! Wishful thinking on short notice
