JWA and Code P252F
After fords latest reflash my truck is a different animal. Runs no where near as good as it did with the JWA. Very inconsistent. Sets code P252F, (wchich is not in JWA's code list) and has a intermittent cruise control issue.
Trying to relate this to a certain setting on the JWA. It seems maybe the low end enchantments may have something to do with it. Yesterday the code was set with JWA in millage mode #1. All low end enchantments were set to medium. I moved them all to low. So far so good. We'll see how it goes today. Truck going into limp mode could leave me in a bad situation. I really need to get this ironed out. RL |

Surprised no one from Edge has responded.

Turned on cold motor protection. That seemed to do the trick. Been a few days without setting code.

Code 252f and Edge Programmer
TurboBuRick, I am having the same problem with my 08 and the Edge Juice. Began shortly after the ford flash I had done in October. I thought it was just in the #1 Program but last week came up running program 3. I asked the question on Edge facebook page and got ignored. When it first came up I called a ford shop to find out what it meant- P252 they looked up, too much oil. So I thought maybe I was making oil, but now I know that is not it. I also read it could be a cylinder imbalance, so I have been worried about that. Have been searching here with up to now no answers, do you have any answers since posting here? Also on the visit to dealer that got me the latest flash, I was having intermittent cruise, it turned out to be the brake switch.

Waiting on a update from ford. According to friend who is a ford tech, they are aware of the problem and are working on an update.
Running jwa cold motor protection seemed to help the most but the code has still popped up. It's not a real problem. Never had the code come up before the reflash. It's something ford did. They are the a-holes. Supposedly they can't flash it back to the file that was working either. Did your truck seem to loose some of the power it had before the reflash? I think it runs ok in stock but the Juice programs don't seem to add as much since the programming. I even had my oil tested because of this p252f error. Aluminum and Iron were a bit high which shows some piston scuffing. I will maybe just stay in the stock program until there is a update to the truck or the edge. They say you got to pay to play but I don't have the extra funds to pay...I am still under warranty so it is probably best to not push it- just in case I really am reaching tolerances due to some wear, and have engine failure.

![]() If it's going to fail you want to be in warranty. ![]() Code popped up on me again yesterday approaching a stop sign. Motor was still warming up. I want to say ECT was 120-130f. JWA set on #1 for milage. Cold motor protection on. Been a week or so from the last time it came up. If the guys writing the programs would drive the trucks we would not have these issues. RL |
