Edge INSIGHT, Engine Monitoring & Ford Warranty
Thank you for supporting this forum! The knowledge from your team and other site members is greatly appreciated.
I have a new 2009 Ford 6.4L with less than 1000 miles and would like to monitor what the engine is doing so I can work with it, not against (EGT, Trans cooler, regen cycle, boost, etc.). Eventually, I'd like to get a tuner but I am afraid to void my warranty (and the truck is a long way from "broken in"). Could you please educate me on (a) what you'd recommend, (b) what I can and cannot do with your instruments to achieve the desired monitoring, and (c) that this will not impact my warranty or give the dealer a foothold to deny covered service? I have searched this site for hours but can't find a direct answer to my question. Thanks in advance!

Edge Insight and Ford Warranty
Quote:
While I won't rehash the discussion re the Insight, I did learn that Edge is "sprinting to the finish" to get a new product completed and that is why improvments to the existing products are not top priority (or at least for now). [Searching this site reveals lots of issues getting Insight to initially work, but once it does it appears to be a great little unit.] Good luck to Edge with the new product and we look forward to the next generation of monitoring tools. ![]() Will any of the Edge reps give us some "insight" (pun intended) into what will be released? |
