CA E99 PCM swap

I have an e99 f250 A/T california truck and I would like to upgrade my pcm. When I look on car part for an 01 pcm all the cali ones are dpc-452 not the 422 that is needed. So my question is can I use a 49 state pcm with no problems other than smog? Thanks
