Ball joints

OK -- I'm keeping my 2000 7.3 Excursion. But I need to know How tough is it for a 68 year old guy to do ball joints. I found a real cool step-by-step from one of you with photos that makes it look like a piece of cake. I will have to replace the hubs and bearings. Through Amazon all the parts are around $500 plus a $70 ball joint tool from Harbor Freight. My local shop wants about $1500 to do it -- including parts. I'd like to do it myself. I have heat and air and some big tools but I'm getting old. Any advice?

Dont buy crappy parts.

Buy the MOOG problem solver ball joints and buy the Timken wheel bearings. If not you'll be doing it again next year.
