Turbo Seized

Hello All I am new to this forum. I own a early 1999 7.3lpsd it is completely stock and is an automatic. Today I was driving up the hill to my house and noticed I had extreme power loss I had the pedal all the way to the floor any harder and my foot would have been threw the fire wall but my truck would barely go 45mph. I noticed that my turbo was not spooling and it was not releasing the excess exhaust gases from the turbo. I did some more investigating and started to look at the turbo. What I discovered was the compressor wheel was stuck on the air intake housing of the turbo. The turbo is trash so I ordered an other stock turbo off o ebay. I do not want this problem to happen again so my question is what could have caused this problem? What can I do to prevent his problem in the future? what I am taking the turbo off what else should I Replace? I know the o rings and other things need to be replaced but what is typically good to change to make sure this problem does not occur again. Thank you reading my long post and hopefully you guys can help me out

hopefully, you ordered the correct turbo, since yours is an E99...no offense bud, but they look similar, and ordering off ebay. People will list/say anything, to make the sale.
