CCV mod question

Yes I know I'm beating a dead horse hear but after searching I can't find a definitive answer.

Can I just take the dog house turn it around and route the hose off of it straight down to the ground?

Like how it is on our freightliner and Volvo and the idi trucks?

Then just plug the hole in the intake pipe?

Thanks guys

Sure but your friends and family will hate you parking on their concrete driveway. I would use a catch can, and have the hose going upward for a bit, to allow for some of the oil to just drain back into the engine.
