1805 Superchips tuner

Can anyone tell me if these are worth buying and what would be a good price for a used one?

I have the older style and like the economy tune. It's pretty easy going at light throttle and snaps the truck to life with a heavy foot. It doesn't have the power of my SCT but I still like it. I don't know what the going price is though.

It is only worth $100 since that is what a code reader costs. The tuning can kill turbos if you are not careful. I was not careful and roasted my first turbo running my superchips tuner on the off road tune. Make sure you get a pyrometer no matter what tune or tuner you run.

Keep Strokin'

Generally they hit on Ebay used from around the $190.00 - $250.00 mark. I sold mine on Ebay and got $280.00 for it, used. I had the Flashpaq (Model # 1805).

If you can spend a bit more I would just get the SCT with a couple of custom tunes. Chances are you'll be lookin for one somewhere down the road.

I like some of the features of the 1805. The flashpaq does several things well, but has many short comings as well. My experience with Superchips has left me to feel that they don't like Ford powerstrokes. They do not plan on doing any updates for the 7.3 (per Ron @ superchips). One of the biggest reasons a person would want the flashpaq is that it is easily internet updateable. With them doing no research and no plans on custom tunes (which they could do!) or hotter boxed tunes, you might want to consider another programer. If you don't plan on getting every last drop of power you can, don't mind 5 to 10 mins. to switch power levels, and you would like the flexabliity of a code reader, speedometer calibrator, limiter delete, etc. then it should work well for you.
Heck I'll sell you mine. It's like new with all the papers, cables, and the box.
$300.00

The data logging is nice also!
