FPR problem

So I shimmed my FPR with the .177 bb and had nothing but problems. It did seem to have a little better throttle response, and idled better but it didn't make up for the other things. First of all my tranny wouldn't lock the TC until it was good and warm, what the hell is that!? The truck also acted like it was starving for fuel when the TC finally locked and i would get in the loud pedal, not to mention it had no power. Finally it turned over more on hot starts before it finally started. I have no idea what all of this means, but after taking the bb back out everything went back to normal and she runs fine.
I have an appointment tomorrow to get the codes read and I will post up again. If anyone else has an idea about this I would love to hear. I have an autozone fuel pump, is it possible that it cant keep up with the shimmed pressure?

I can't answer any of your questions but I have learned that it is probably safer to not do the BB shim unless you have a fuel guage to check the pressure. Too much and you can damage seals and start leaks. I have postponed my BB mod until I can get an under-hood gauge installed.

The fuel pressure has nothing at all in the world to do with the lockup of the T/C. The TC lockup is controlled by the PCM. Since the fuel pressure is not monitored by the truck/PCM and there is no feedback to the PCM, how can it control anything let alone your T/C?

I agree with Hank, you need to a gauge to properly adjust the fuel pressure.

62psi is just about perfect. In fact so perfect, that is what my regulator is set to in my truck right now.
