Just wondering my early 99 F550 at work has the parking brake light on the lower right corner near the tach and wait to start light.. but I noticed my early 99 F250 has it on the left by the battery light and seat belt light...is there a reason behind this?? I don't see why ford would have made them different.. I know the cluster in the 550 is the original as we got the truck new in 98.. the 250 was bought last year, I'm wondering if the cluster was changed in the 250 before I bought it...

can some of you fine folks check your early 99's and late 99's to see where it is on yours.. I'm really hoping the cluster wasn't changed for one with lower miles before I bought it ..

Here are my thoughts. Your truck is a 6 speed and maybe the 550 is an auto thus causing the difference. Or maybe one truck is a Canadian built truck and one is an American built truck.

What does the built date say on your door? And when did the 99.5 models come out? And do both trucks read in KMH?

I just checked my moms early 2000 and the brake is on the right. I guaranty you that you have a F-650/750 instrument cluster in your truck. I'm pretty sure that those have the brake on the left side. I think they even have 2 brake lights/indicators. And a shut engine off or engine overspeed light.
