Early 99 pitman arm

If you are building your own fit for a early 99 are the pitman arms the same a the 97 OBS trucks?

mine was for a a 2wd i believe, not sure on the year. fits the early 99 4x4. part number was fs600 skyjacker

I used the early99 pitman arm from ProComp.

I have herd it is the same as the 97. But I am not sure. It would be interesting to find out.

Yes it is the same as a 97, the 99.5 is keyed different.

after putting the pitman arm on, what did you guys do with the track bar. i put mine on, then had to take it off because it was hitting.

My drop pitman arm is no where near my track bar. Procomp 4" lift is what I used with a drop track bar bracket.

Just what would you want with a grease fitting? The pitman arm bolts to the splines on the steering gear box and then the tie rod end goes into it. Neither of those two parts you want moving.

Thanks strokin, I had a fitting on my 96 Crown Vic. pittman arm. Thought Ford might have used them on trucks also.
