Will Zoodad work on Early 99?

Will a Zoodad mod work on an Early 99? where it the intake "thingy" at the grill, I saw the hole by the intake but couldnt follow it. Does it help any on the Early 99 model? Thanks

cuz u have the afe you wont have to worry about that tube. just find the thread about the zoodad that shows good pics and its pretty easy!

If you already have the AFE stage 2 then you need to do the mod. My trucks intake temps dropped 80* with putting on the AFE and zoodad mod.

I just drilled a hole in each corner then cut mine with a sawzall.......she ain't going to win any beauty contest but it works just the same!

when i installed the updated stock ford air intake onto my early 99 I found that there was a thick flap of rubber material that the front of the intake square tube shoved right up against. i guess it was there in my truck since my truck had the original airbox and no tube pulling air from up from. i just had to remove that rubber material, and then put the hole in the grill.

I always thought it would help are early 99s just to get more cool air into the engine compartment the only concern i have is that later models are putting air in a tube to the box. But were going to be putting alot of cold air in the winter on that battery on that side.I might be over thinking this im going to go ahead and do mine .Good luck.
