Angry Go Pedal Ghost

I have had a bit of an irritating problem that comes and gos: Sometimes under normal accelration/steady speed my truck will lurch. If I try to hold a steady speed at say 20mph it is very noticable. If I continually depress the accelerator it will not do it. At high way speeds it is much less noticable. The best I can explain it is if I press and hold the pedal in the same spot just driving in town it doesnt respond, then it does, then it doesnt and so on. And mean while you are getting jerked back and forth in the cab.

Any takers...?

Yeah sounds like the tps or throttle position sensor. I have a link at home that sells just the sensor and not the whole pedal assembly that ford sells. I will post it up when I get out of work tonight

vitalidle that would be great if you could post the link. It is a very annoying problem.

You bet its like 50 bucks for the sensor vs 180 for the whole assembly I think.
