New Wicked Wheel in early 99

Guys,

I took the tube that goes into the turbo off and was looking at my wheel. It seemed to be a little nicked up around the edges but nothing major. I would assume that my stock filter system allowed some dusting over the 145,000 miles it has on it. I realize that with the wheel being in less than perfect condition it has to be losing some ability to pull air. So, would it be beneficial to install a NEW Wicked Wheel since they're only $80 bucks?

Oh, and how do you guys like the DIY intake mod with the Napa FIL6637? I like what I have heard so far but to me it looks kinda "backyardish"... no offense to anyone
The Ford AIS system seems to get good reviews and is very affordable...any thoughts.

I would call Bean or Dennis or Ron's turbo or Bob at Dieselsite. There is a start for you.

You can install the wicked wheel. Being you have an early 99, the wicked wheel is the same as your stock one. Or you could just rebuild your turbo completely. But if your wanting to just replace the wheel I still suggest you get new seals as well.

Call Rons turbo and get a rebuild kit and a new wheel. I think someone posted it is like $129 for all of it.

Thanks. I was aware that the wicked wheel is stock in the early 99 but was wanting to replace it with new.

also for the 6637 filter..you need to take out the old air box leaving the battery tray..you also need a 4" or 5" long piece of 4" exhaust pipe to make the air tube and the filter go together...
