Advice geting Back to a PowerStroke

Hi guys,

Been away from the powerstrokes for a few years, bought a 99 (Early) 4x4, 204K no mods done, with a rebuilt performance tranny and a leveling kit. Back when I had a PSD, there were alot of easy mods that helped my 01, and I think they were listed in a dedicated (WIKI?) section, does the site still have these in one place? I would like to shim the fuel pressure and if it's still advisable do the fuel mod that makes the fuel system flow through the heads to lessen the cackel, want to get as much as I can out of it before going to a programmer or chip. Not really gonna hot rod it just do a little towing so more worried about milage. Any advice would be nice.

Thanks,
Don

The same mods go for early '99's as later trucks... check out the general forum for more traffic/replys.

Simple...

DIY intake/6637 filter
Straight pipe the stock exhaust
Gauges (boost, egt, trans temp)
Good tuner (I like DP Tuner, others like the TS chips with custom tunes)

For $500-$900 you can do the above mods, and really wake up the truck.
