Just picked up 7.3 td f250 I'm assuming its a early one since mfd date is 08/98 from reading the stickies there are quite some difference's...so not going to bother on that stuff



Transmission
Bearings need geasing
Oil change
Gaskets


Can anyone give me a mileage interval for all listed

And what can for it before throwing mods on it

Trans and oil change? What's diffetent on early motors cause I'm missing something.

I know, but where are you seeing the trans and oil changes are different?

Oil - 5k unless you get oil analysis
Trans - 35k to 60k, depending on use
Bearings - which ones
Gaskets - which ones

Proper fluids changes/filtering and temp monitoring is a good start. Ccv mod keeps oil out of intake system.
How far you wanna go with mods?

As u can see im very new to this side of the fence im a ls1 fan boy figured i would try something different

i picked this up this 250 with 232k on the clock so kinda timid on the crazy mods so im guessing just intake and exhaust maybe a tuner...I'd rather just have a good idea on General Maintenance

would replacing the head studs be a good idea?

for as bearings im hearing alot about the needle bearing needing to be greased every so often

gaskets like the the one on the front and rear ends or on the heads...

Studs are not an issue till high hp on these.
Idk anything about 4wd.
In the bio fuel section, it describes how HEUI works. Good info, I'd read it.
