just a couple questions

I recently bought a 99 model F-250, 7.3, however the manufacture date is june of 98.

The questions I have.
Will any upgrade parts for a regular 99 work with my truck?
Any website i have looked at for parts like exhaust, chips, turbos ect don't have the option for a 98 7.3, it goes straight from 97 to 99 and i just want to make sure all the parts will still fit.

the trucks availble in '98 were titled '99, hense the 'early' '99 trucks, and the 'late' '99 trucks... read thru the sticky'd thead at the top of the early '99 section about the diffrences between early and late, very informative... and yes, most things will interchange, they are basicly the same truck.

I have an early 99 and everything from a regular 99 will interchange that I have found so far. I even have parts on it from a 2000, engine wise. As far as the interior goes most everything up to 2005 will swap. some up to '08.

Injectors are smaller, turbo and related parts are different. There is a lot of things different. You can swap to later but sometimes there is other parts need to make work as well. Like hub bearings. You can swap but then you need rotors. So if your going to upgrade parts do your home work. Good luck

Yes, I think the exhaust will work, if there is any diffrence, it's in the down pipe, as there are diffrent turbos on the early '99's, but I think the exhaust side is the same, only the compressor side is diffrent. (NOTE: I do not know this for sure, anyone who does, please correct me if I'm wrong)

Otherwise, from personal experiance, the rest of the exhaust system is the same 3.5" OD pipe from the down pipe back... I know this because the same 3.5" pipe I used on the 2000 F350 worked for the early '99 when I straight piped it too... had to, for some reason the cat fell out... might have been because of the rabid sawzall that was loose in the garage that night, it got into the beer as well.
