Okay I am going to swap pcm,I ecm or what ever you want to call it..Question is will a 02 pcm work and if is doesn't all I will have to do is take it to ford for a reflash???I did find one of the 01 with high trans pressure.. For $250.00 or I can get a 02 for alot less..Both are autos...

I have read alot of posts and there is some grey area one the matter..

they should interchange without problems it all depends on whether the PCM that you use has the same options as your truck. I have one from a 2000 in mine and the only difference I have found is that the newer trucks had an intake preheater and I get codes for that since the computer can't find one, E 99 and 99's did not have a preheater. A lot will depend on if you have a chip or stock. If you are chipped the chip will have to be sent in to be reprogrammed to the newer computer.
