this part of the forum isn't browsed very often... I'd just post this in the General Discussion area for more views.

The edge sucks, thats why your boost might be lower than a custom tuned chip.

It could be the injectors you used as well, I replaced all 8 of mine with injectors from alliant (new) and had issues from the git go. I ended up going with a set from farmers because 2 of the injectors had compressed springs and the tolerances were so loose that oil was getting above the plunger causing misfire. I bought the new ones in april and had to have farmers rebuild them the last month.

My 95 was the same way, I was lucky to get 10-12 normal and 7 towing. your boost is fine, you might look at the muffler to make sure it is not plugged. not a fan of edge, hypertek, diablo but I prefer custom tune. There are several places that can truly test the injectors (farmers) the local injector shop only tests pressure, they don't check flow or anything else I used Farmers but there are several other shops around the country that can test them correctly. If you go under the general discussion and start a thread as to who is best with injectors, you will get a lot of feed back.

I have no input on the problem, but my early 99 gets 10.5 at best towing very light loads around 3klbs. If I tow around 12-14klbs, its drops to about 7.5-8. This is with a custom tune from a popular vendor on here. My mileage seemed much better in the 02 I had and it had a superchips on it.
