Options for Track Bar with 2-4" lift??

I think I've read that the e99 bracket and axle mount can be drilled out to fit the later model adjustable track bar, since it seems like no one makes one for the early 99. Is that the best option to center the axle up? What's everyones input on this that has a lift? I need to fix mine asap as I have some popping sounds sometimes going over bumps in the road.

Thanks,

I did a 2 " leveling kit and fabbed up my own track bar. One end had a bushing, and the end that bolted to the axle had an adjustable heim in it. Worked like a charm, but for a 4" lift youll have to to a drop bracket of sorts Im pretty sure.

Right now I have the 2" mini spring pack, but would like to get rid of it in favor of 3" hangers.

Thanks,
I just did this mod - installed a 2.5 leveling kit and an ICON adjustable track bar/Pan Hard Rod. On the early 99 you will have to drill out the mounting brackets with a 3/4" drill bit to get that mounted up.

I modified my factory track bar on my early '99, as I had just replaced it less than a month before I added a leaf to the front of the truck... track bar was about half an inch too short, so I chopped it in the middle, and found an old jeep front drive shaft I had laying around, the tubing was the right inside diameter to sleeve the track bar, I cut some splits/wedges in a 8-9" peice (so each end looked like a kings crown), for more welding suface, and welded it up right where it needed to be... worked great.
