MY 6.0 WAS STOLEN
Had an 07 F350 SRW 4x4 long bed with the 6.0 stolen from me a few months ago. As I was waiting for my insurance check to come in I began looking for a new truck. Ford wants and arm and a leg for a 2012, hovering around $60,000. I was like no friggin way am I spending that on a truck. So I talked to one of my hunting buddies who just so happens to own a used truck dealership. He is a huge Dodge fan and was trying like hell to convince me that Dodge and the cummins was the way to go. Problem is I'm a died in the wool Ford man. I despise Dode lol
So a few weeks go by and my buddy calls and he has a mint condition e99 F250 short bed with 7.3 PSD with 91,000 miles on it. I said I'll take it. Bought it for $16,000.00 The interior is like show room condition and the exterior is in great shape other than a few minor scratches here and there. The PSD runs like a champ. I was amazed at just how much more power this 7.3 has compared to my 6.0. It is like night and day the difference in power. I own a 1995 7.3 PSD and a 1997 7.3 PSD both with over 250,000 miles on them and I don't recall them having the pwer of theis e99. I have been a memeber on this site for a while and spent most of my time in the 6.0 motor problems forum.....imagine that. At any rate since I purchased this truck I have done the following:1. leveling kit 2. 35" tires and wheels 3. removed old man camper shell 4. installed headache rack, bed rails, tool box, goose neck hitch, heavy duty pipe bumper on back, rino lined all of these items including the bed of truck 5. Installed pocket style fender flares and rini lined them then rino lined the rocker panels of the truck 6. RiffRaff air intake kit The only thing I have in the works right now is a repacement front bumper. The welding fabricator is building it now and should be done in a few weeks. I will be putting an air suspension kit for heavy loads. As far as the engine goes the only thing I am considering is that Dieselsite wastegate controller. What if any is y'alls opinion on this devise? I am also thinking a chip or programmer. I am most interested in towing and milage. Does anyone make a chip or programer that will mimick the Tow Haul function on the newer trucks. Thanks and I look forward to contributing more to the e99 forum. |

Welcome SoTX. Can you put up a pic or your truck? I have the same basic setup and would like to see those fender flares on your truck. Also, what offset are the wheels you are running?

SoTx,
Beautiful Truck man! Very Similar to my E99 ![]() Few questions if you dont mind. How much did that RhinoLiner Run ya? Also, how does the gloss hold up? Ive been debating on lining mine exactly like yours, but am worried the liner will dull after a while. Let me know what you think. Thanks! Paul |

Well Paul to line the fenderflares and rocker panel was around $650.00. As far as shine goes these guys put some kind of coating on the liner to hold the shine.
Galaxie it was made by South Texas Outfitters here in San Antonio, TX |
