Help with E99 suspension lift questions

I am trying to figure out how to get about 3-4" total front lift on my truck. I have some questions about what will work from a late 99 lift kit and what wont. I know the trackbar bolts are smaller on the older truck and the u bolts are square over the axle vs. round. Can the round u bolts be used or no? Whats the best way to get the axle centered? Can you use a late 99 adj. track bar and drill out the mounting holes to make the bolts fit on the E99? Are the shackle drop kits the same for both trucks? I don't really want to buy a 4" lift since my stock rear blocks are almost 4" anyways. I have the mini spring pack right now which is giving me 2" up front. Would it be best to just leave that and do a 2" shackle kit to get 4" up front and modify the track bar brackets to fit?

Sorry for the long post, just trying to get all my questions out there.
Brad

Yes you can drill out the holes to fit the bigger bolts and use a 99.5+ adj track bar, you can also get an upper track arm bracket of a 99.5+ to replace the e99 one, but you will have to drill the lower (on the axle) bracket.

The shackle kits for a 99.5+ will work on an e99

Sorry I dont really know about the rest
