Question Lost with this code

Hello guys im new to the diesel world and got me an early 99 7.3 6sp now. But I keep throwing this code that is p1211 [ICP not controllable-pressure above/desired.] whats it meaning by Icp guys im having a brain fart. Lol. But there r no modifications but I believe 4 in. exhaust no cat or muffler into dual 5 in stacks and a hypertech chip(not my choice of chip came with truck and have ordered a new one yet.

ICP injection control pressure This is the sensor on the head on the drivers side of the motor in the oil rail just behind the fuel filter bowl. These are known to go bad, when they do sometimes they leak oil into the wiring harness there. Look on ebay at 7.3 ICP and you will see pictures of these sensors. There are also kits from the dealer to fix the wires. If your truck is programmed or chipped and you really hammer on it you can throw that code. google p1211 and you will find may articles on this site and others. Should be easy, good luck.

Thanks alot and thats what I thought it was. Ya I only a a hypertech on it. And ya it only throws the code on the highway when ur already booking along and then u get into it all the way is when it throws it

Check your icp anyway just for precautions. Yeah get rid of that tune costly in the long run 4r100s ain't cheap

I have the zf6 not the 4r100. But can anyone also tell me y when u have an OBS 7.3 and u upgrade the turbo the u usually end up fire ringing them. And y on here ive read countless stores of people upgrading turbos on the 99-03s and every once in awhile ull see sumbody head stud em....i dont know just wondering what the difference is. Thank u guys
