I have an E99 (4/98) with an AWA3 pcm...is it worth the swap (Dac3) on a manual shift truck??? Heard alot about the PMT1 & 2, but those are for auto shift trucks...any input would be welcomed...
I'm gettin ready to replace the pcm in my e99 manual (awa3). I'm gonna put a reman puter from NAPA in it.... can I just get a reman equal to the dac-3 and be ok?? Just plug and play? Gettin ready to order it asap... thanks!!

EDIT:: Ok guys, I just called NAPA, and they don't order them by the pcm Ford Code, they order them by the Calibration Code on the computers..... example:: AWA3 code is DPC-401.... Does anybody happen to know the calibration code for the DAC-3?? Thanks.
Lifted94 what is napa's price & are you going that route? Seems like this is trying to finding a needle in a hay stack. I have 4-98 6 speed also. Thanks
Well, I dunno if I'm goin with a napa one now. i went order if, gave them the calubration code, and now they're needing a VIN number..... I dunno what to do with that, I figured if I gave them my vin, then then theyll just flash the early 99 program into it, so I would figure that i would need a 2000 manual vin for it to be correct.... and if so, that will suck tryng to find one...... Anybody have any suggestions or have been through this before?

I think iI got mine off of carparts.com or a site like it. Just type in what truck you'll be buying for (2000 f-250 7.3 manual for example) a list will come up and just select the one u want. I got mine for 125 shipped to my house. It was for an automatic though
I wished I would have done it a long time ago when I had my stage 2s and d66. Was a pain in the butt to get the e99 pcm tuned right. Tony wildman tried 4 times and never got it to idle without loping like it had a huge cam in it
Just a quick question. I have the e99 also. All I need is the pcm/computer out of a 2000 7.3 for the upgrade right? What is the difference? Programming only?
I find lots of xc3f computers but most are ac or ad what is the difference? does it need to be a af. I run a superchips programmer. will it still work? Thanks
