E99 vs later models

I recently bought a E99 4x4 CC with 140k. It's completely stock. When I take off it feels snappy butt then it feels like it get somewhat flat! It still speed up but doesn't feel like it has much torque! I drove my dads 2000 straight pipe & my cousins 2006. So is it just me or is there something with my truck?

Earlier trucks are a little diffrent... check the stickys at the top of the Early 99 page for details, most noteable is smaller injectors and smaller turbo... still respectable power, just not quite what you can get out of the later model trucks... I'm still getting used to my E99 truck, the red one in my sig pic.

Sorry, I forgot to post about those difference. I know they make a difference, I just didnt know how much it felt! Hopefully by this weekend am goin to install a DIY intake an straight pipe and start looking for a 17*HPOP. What else would be a good affordable upgrade?

I have an early 99 auto, 3.73, F350 DRW. Stock intake, 60hp bully dog chip, turbo back 4 inch banks exhaust. 230k miles and Im thinking of doing the injectors since one of them is giving me some cold start problems intermittently. Would now be a good time to do the HPOP. Also have some leakage around the Turbo (black/white markings) although the turbo seems to be working good. Just made a trip to north carolina from Houston and got 16mpg at 75 not hauling anything.

Would the later HPOP when done alone with no other changes make a noticable difference? what is the difference to look for? better accelleration?
