CPS?

So if your tach does not move at all when cranking, the CPS is bad? I just replaced mine and have no symptoms other than the occasional "blip" loss of power for a split second. This happens once in two weeks.
Should I look for the black Ford CPS? I just got one from CarQuest.

it had bought some from Checkers and about a week later i had the "blip" especially driving through puddles, took the truck for the CPS recall and havent had a problem even while driving in the rain.. i think the grey ones suck.. black/blue are the good ones

Well, I replaced mine with a grey one from CarQuest($27) and things were fine for a while. Now the truck will quit for no reason once in a while. Went to Ford and bought a FoMoCo CPS and it is grey!!!?!?!?!?!? Is that what Ford sells now? I have seen the black ones online for $48 shipped. Guess I'll go that route.
