anybody try putting dynamat on the firewall or somethin to lower the volume of the incab whine? it kinda drives my wife nuts when i'm pullin the camper on a 2 or 3 hour trip.. i gotta admit it is kinda loud..

you should do the foil delete, that'll quieten it down some!

mine's had the foil delete done to it at some point or another.. i suppose that's part of what the issue is.. but those big pipes look soooo nice under the hood all cleaned up.. ..
i was just curious if anybody had insulated the fire wall to tone it down a lil.. i've already got permanent high frequency hearing damage from workin on radars for 15 years, no use for the wife and kiddos to get it too..

mine has some stuff on the firewall. maybe cause it is a E99 and I dont have the foil on the pipes like my other SD do.

E99's came with foil delete for some reason straight from the factory, atleast all the ones ive came across

im glad every girl in my family likes the whistle cuase I love it. Only think you can do is get a closed element air filter system maybe foil your intercooler tub and wrap your truck with sound deadning stuff.
