Hi im new to the forum, i love the site and it's helped me out a lot but my truck threw codes P1670,P0603, And P0478 with my sct can someone please help me out?
P1670 indicates that a communication error has occurred between the PCM and the IDM.
Possible causes:
-- Open fuse
-- IDM relay
-- Open or shorted IDM enable circuit
-- Open/short in EF circuit
-- Open/short in FDCS circuit
-- IDM powering circuits
-- PCM
P0603 usually means you reprogrammed or tuned your truck thats the code that comes up when that is done normally. It usually means you changed the PCM programming
DTC P0478 indicates an excessive back pressure condition existed during normal driving.
Possible causes:
stuck EBP butterfly valve
restricted exhaust
plugged EBP sensor line
misadjusted EPR linkage
F-Series wastegate turbo may be overboosting
Thank you, so if I gut my ebpv i wouldn't ever throw that code right? And p1670 could that be caused from a loose battery terminal? I had one replaced it, then cleared the codes and i haven't thrown that code since.
More than likely the EBP sensor has soot in the tube for that code, but gutting the pedestal should elminate it. For the loose cable/having the cable replaced, yes that would set that code. All KAM code are from the pcm losing power.
ok sounds good, I was hoping that was the cause, then again I was kindof hoping It was my ecu that way I have a excuse for the woman to get a pmt1 haha
