How Do I Tell If I Have Keyless Entry?

How do I tell if I have a keyless entry system or not? It is the XLT. Its a early '99 8/98. I Dont want to have to buy a remote and have it not work. Any help would be great! Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you cycle the ignition either 3 or 5 times and the door locks should unlock

I think its 8 times in 8 seconds to get it into programming mode. That or call a dealer and give them your vin and they should be able to look it up and tell if it was built on the truck.
