buying E99 (maybe)

so i found a 6spd psd i found and i like it a lot but i wanted to know what to look for on the truck?? i dont want regret buying it.. it is a early 99 6spd with stage 1's. does anyone know what stage 1's are usually for a superduty??? just want to know everything you gotta say and how you guys like your e99's compared to later ones.. thanks!!
