How do I tell if I have a early 1999 or a 1999.5? Is there a date of production cut off between the two?

there is a build date on the sticker located on the driver side door post..if it was built before 12/7/98 then its an early 99
if you dont have a sticker or think the door or the motor was changed...open the hood and look at the spider in front of the turbo..in the pic bellow(click on it to make it biger) are 2 of them..the orange one is a 99.5..the other is the E99...now look at the long leg sticking out to the right..that is where the driver side IC pipe ties into with a boot..see how the 99.5 (orange) stays a full 3 inces thick going into the belly?? look at the E99...it gets smaller going into the belly..if your spider looks like that..then you have the E99
