Smile Ram Air Intake

Hey guys i have an early 99 as well as the keystone good hood ram air hood, i was looking to buy the airraid intake to hook up to the hood but i just read in the differences between early and late 99 thread that only AFE stage 2 and AIS work , is this true? did i screw myself by already ordering the Air Raid intake,? it says it was made for the 99 7.3l with the hood

Any input is appreciated thanks!

Many of the early build trucks got updated to the late 99 intake assembly, are you running a stock intake now? If it says "Intercooled" on the top of the airbox it's an early intake, if it says nothing it's late and you're good to go.

Well, without being able to remember exactly the differences between the early and late intake, I would say no. But... the good news is if you can find a late model truck in a wrecking yard, I believe the only piece you need is the rubber hose that connects the stock airbox to the CCV coupler. Grab one of those and the intake you wanted and you should be set.
