The only major differences are the u-bolts on the axle and the track bar hardware. You can get u-bolts made reasonably about anywhere, and if you pick up a late model track bar bracket you can use the late model track bar. I'd buy a late model kit and convert.

What is the brand and price you are looking at for the early 99? I bough and installed the 6" skyjacker on my early 99 and even with the dual shocks in front and dual stabalizers it was under $1500.

Talk with Kris at Top Gunn Customz. She made me a deal on my stuff and it was wed when I ordered and it was here in time for a weekend install. Great customer service after personlay having the exact opposite from the jokers at Rough Country. Stay away from them if you can. Cant say enough about TGC.

Those are the only differences related to the lift. Oh, and the sway bar end links too.

you may want to check here. 99-04 Ford Super Duty 4 Wheel Drive - Top Gun Customz the prices seem to be pretty reasonable.

Another difference that i have found is the splines on the steering box are clocked different so if your gonna change the pitman arm make sure you get an early one
