Post (new Guy) Buying a E350 w/ 7.3 PSD...help.

Hello everyone, My name is Rob.
As soon as I sell my car, I'd like to buy a 99.5-03 E350 7.3 But I need some advice.

Here's my story, as short as possible.
Within days after selling my car (link at bottom) I have to be ready to buy the van because I don't have another car.

So are there anythings I should know other then use the search and my head, about buying. Such as is one year better then an other?
I plan on doing some upgrades very quickly after buying, Exhaust, brakes, some sort of ECU chip, wheels/tires and interior work.
The main use of the van will be light loads doing highway runs, I'm a mobile detailer.
So knowing what I'll be using the van for, which of the TD Ford Vans would you recommend? (I like the 7.3 PSD ) Then if you don't mind suggest some key upgrades for me.
I'd like to have a 5inch turbo back exhaust, raise the MPG, and be able to boggie when needed.

Yes, this will be my DD / hotrod, work, play, everything vehicle. The current car does a LOT, but can't carry everything I need. Plus the theft is out of control.

Well thanks for reading, Rob.

Those cars are pretty rare. I think there is only one in my region that hasnt been stolen yet and its owned by an old black lady. But as for the van, Im not entirely sure on what they came with versus the trucks. I know in the trucks the 99.5+ had bigger injectors, different turbo wheel, a few other things. The trannys are pretty good in them so long as you dont put too much power through em. Have fun out there.

So should I start looking in junk yards for those parts to 'hook up' the E350? and would it make a difference by themselfs or would I need the ECU out of the F series too (plug n play?)
