Need van gauge pod
Lookin' to add 3 gauges to my '99 E-350 work van in my sig... don't care for the 'A-piller' pods, block too much sight, it's bad enough with the west coast style mirrors. Lookin' for ideas for in the dash, on top of the dash with a clean look with out exposing wires, etc.
Any ideas? Any one done this? Any pics? Thanks... |

Made mine (for an 03 E550- dash should be the same) holds 4 guages though..EGT, Trans Temp, Boost and Tach. Not real pretty but works just fine. It sits on the dash next to the drivers side "piller" just below eye level so it's always visable. I think I may still have an extra in the garage. I'll try to get you a pic if you think you mighty want it. Let me know with your email addy and I'll get it out to you. Oh..by the way, if you want to hook up a tahk..its real easy(at least on the 03) and you don't need a special tach..any will do.

just got back from "on the road". Will try to get some picks of the pod I made for mine and get them out to you. By the way..as for the pillar mounts..unless you can fabricate one yourself, as far as I know, they don't exist for the E series. oh..almost forgot! as for the tach hookup. look closely at the harness that comes from the PCM(engine comp side) and look for a white/pink strip wire that kinda dead ends about 8-10inches or so back into the harness..THATS your handy dandy tach lead..at least on the 03 it is...And you're not too far away either..am in Pittsburgh.

Autometer makes one. Auto Meter And several people have used truck pillars and did a little filing to fit. I have a steering column mount that will require a little filing but will work fine. |
