hey rpm-inc ...

i really would like to have a tach with the factory look

what was involved in the install ... i have an 02 e350 7.3 and am looking to do the f - e swap

do i just find an instrument cluster on ebay or a junk yard ?

any info would be appreciated

Find a 99-01 F cluster. The 3 plugs are the same, but a lot of the pins need to be moved. There is a terminated wire labled cto near the brake booster marked CTO that you will use for the tach. I have the pinouts for both clusters if you need them. You can also take the clusters apart and swap out the odometers so your mileage remains accurate.

The second one will work. 02+ have a digital odometer. But 200 seems pricy. If you can wait, you can probably find one for 75.

thx for the input RPM-INC ... i like the digital odometer, and really want a tach

im going to look around and see if i can get a better deal

i have never done any dash work ... is it a tough swap ?

can u talk me through it ?
