E350 7.3L Exhaust Systems ?

After much research - I've been told NOT ONE SINGLE aftermarket exhaust kit is made for the E350. I have a 2003 Sportsmobile 4x4 w/ 7.3L. I've talked to Banks, ExtremeDiesel, MagnaFlow, Gibson, Silverpeak and Bullydog. DIY, Gauges and Chip are the only upgrades available. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Goto a junkyard, buy a stock exhaust for an E350 PSD, take it to your local muffler shop, tell them you would like a quote for a 4" or 5" exhaust system fitting the dimentions of the stocker you just got. You could also ask the companies you listed to fab you up one from a stocker exhaust. (You would probably have to pay them for the stocker and give a pretty substantial down payment since it's going to be a one-off.)

Just go to an exhaust shop and let them know what you want. I don't know about your area, but there are plenty of shops in my area that'll do it. A friend just had his muffler cut out and 4" run straight out the back of his E350 PSD at Midas for $250.

Might want to try Ford Preformace Specialists in Mableton Ga. He writes the tech reports for the Power Stroke Registry Mag. phone #tech support 770-949-7191 he has a web site (Ford Specialists.com - Ford Performance Specialists). Billy Boat in Calif. does custom exhaust not sure if on E350's. (Racer?) If I ever had any qustions on the power strokes I'd give Doug a call. Been a member to PSR for 8 years. Just signed up this past weekend to this site.(I've never done anything like this before- I've read some sad problems people have had with the PS )

I checked the last time I had one of the down pipes off of my van ambulances, and the upper part is exactly the same as the trucks. On trucks the pipe is a little longer, so it would stick down below the frame on a van. All you need to do is get a cheap 4" truck exhaust, and take it to a muffler shop and have them cut and weld a few pieces for you. A truck kit will contain all the parts that you need and a few extras. Unless you have access to a welder your self, then you could do it in your driveway.

E450 Exhaust

Hello, I am new to the forum and I am in need of your opinions.
I have a 2008 e450 (Cube van) with a 6.0L turbo diesel engine.
It is a delivery truck and it is typically loaded while driving at 70 mph.
Its average fuel economy is 9.5 mpg.

Can I improve the fuel economy by adding a free flow exhaust system.
If I can , by how much?

Thanks for your help in advance..

Dan

Couldn't hurt.. I wouldn't be able to tell you any real numbers though. You might talk about getting a custom tune for it. I know that some of the guys on here do custom tuning for E450 6.0l trucks. I have one, and inquired about it, and some body told me that it wouldn't be a problem.. I would post a new question in the E-series section asking about custom tuning for a 6.0l
