superduty VANs

Anyone here own a Superduty Van?
I'm planning for mods, but can't find a cold air intake or an exhaust system.

Is there anything out there available for Powerstroke vans?
-Or am I going to have to fabricate?

If the latter, I'd sure like to hear from anyone who has done this before
thanks
Kyle

NON Intercooled?

Are the Superduty vans NON intercooled? I was reading a thread about van turbos, and saw a couple comments about them being NON intercooled!

If so, that blows my mod-list into the backseat until I can find an intercooler to shoehorn under the grill.

What could you get away with on one of these engines without retrofitting an intercooler anyway?

Yes, the vans are NON-Intercoolled. You COULD do something like this:

Jobe Performance - Intercoolers

Or you could run a smaller IC like this ('Mopar Kid' a few posts down):

Either way, your going to have to fab up something yourself. I don't know of anyone making/selling IC kits for the Vans. (Hope you can weld!)

aftermarket Intercooler?

And the cute little black car... I had one of those, actually... Yeah- It had gotten stuck in one of my fenderwells
Nah, seriously, I doubt a little front mount intercooler would be of any use on a turbo diesel. Those cores are air to air, and most are less than 30x8x3. I think the stock IC's for these diesels are something like 30x30

I'll have to see what I can do, as vans are so limited on space. but I'm sure I can shoehorn something effective in there. I'll bet he plumbing will sure be interesting!
The stock Duramax IC looks like a fairly decent option as it has metal end tanks -vs- the plastic found on stock Fords.

Besides being NON intercooled, are there any other significant differences to be aware of concerning the Powerstrokes in Superduty vans?
Also, can anyone direct me to any sites where I can learn more of the differences between the various years and applications of the Powerstroke?
-There is evidently some changes made between "early" and "late" 1999's, and I see what appears to be a major change in 2003 as well. However, as far as what changes occur, and at what year for the Econolines... -I'm just not finding much
Thanks

Hey Kyle
I have a 2000 E350 ext 7.3 PSD. My air filter housing developed stress cracks so I ordered a new one. They sent me a new intake(Ford) that was improved for 2003. I have the Bullydog 3 position sw(stock-+45hp-+75hp) in the +75hp setting. It is almost scary how much power it has, it certainly doesn't need anymore.
But if you find any performance exhaust, let me know.

Thanks
Devo

I'll bet the newer vans with the 6.0 are intercooled, might be able to shoehorn one of those ICs in your 7.3.

i have an 02 super duty ... 4 inch dimond eye turbo back exhaust (foud on ebay for under 300 bux shipped) , but no luck so far getting a cold air intake ... or an inter cooler ... the 6.0 is way different and would require many mods to the van to make it work
