98 fuel bowl drain valve removal...help!

My E350 started dripping fuel and I'm reasonably certain it's coming from the interface of the fuel bowl and drain valve, no problem...I just bought a new one and went to install it, how in the heck are you supposed to do that! I've tried every strange tool I can come up with to remove it and can't. No earthly idea how I'll ever get the new one on. You tube video's for this year show removing two bolts from the HP reservoir and lifting the entire bowl out. Mine doesn't look like that. It's a 12/97 manufacture date. Anyone been to this party and have any advice?

Thanks in advance

From the front,
1) Remove air filter and all the other mess to gain access to fuel bowl. Mine had one torx screw holding the assembly. Be careful or the screw will disappear into the 7.3l valley of no return. I have a picture somewhere. Will post it if you need it.
