installing Electric cooling fans on a 99e350 7.3

My friend has a 1999 e350 with a 7.3l and loves it. he is thinking of removing the clutch fan assy and shroud and installing a twin electric fan kit with shroud from Spal. nice kit but costs around $350. we are doing this mainly for FUEL SAVINGS. It it worth it?

The big question is does your friend ever want to tow with it. The electric fans are about 1/2 of the CFM as a stocker. As for MPG, I doubt you will ever save enough to pay for the fan.

Id like more info on this? Maybe a lighter weight fan on the stock clutch?
