Shifter problem

After 553,000 miles my shifter on the steering column is giving me fits. It wont go into drive unless I wiggle it and sometimes it won't go into park.

Is there a breakdown on someone fixing their column

It happens to me occasionally. The small bolts can come loose in the shaft. Just keep wiggling the shifter and follow the shaft until you find where it is loose.
