Bought the truck used ran good for about a week. Then it died on the highway. The tow company changed the fuel filter runs and sputters now they tell me its the fuel pump which is located in the tank...........Never heard a fuel pump located in the tank on the 98 350??? Any thoughts?
No, it is not in the fuel tank. Anyways, if you had very low fuel pressure your check engine light would be on. The same goes with your oil pressures as well as other engine parameters as well.
How did your old fuel filter look? Did they clean out the fuel bowl before they installed the new filter? Did did the truck throw any codes when they hooked it to a scanner?
