I also have been looking for a tac with no luck, But i do seem to remember a thread on here about putting a F series instrument panel in a van as the F series has a tac , It didnt sound to complicated, good luck, if you find a tac please post where you found it. Ill do the same.

I found one and the article on using instrument cluster from F series.

Installing An OEM Tachometer In A 1992-1996 F-150 Or Bronco .: Articles

I will have some spare time soon and was going to take a look at wrecker yards. I do have a concern about the milage on old unit. Mine is in a motorhome and only has 19000 miles. Gotta see if I can use pieces and keep my speedometer.

The other one (I think) uses magnets on the front pulley. Looks good, just have to find a place to mount.

Because I know nothing about Ford, OK I will admit it, I have numerous Cummins engines, I cannot even guess by sound what RPM,s I am at. Running through mountains I would like to force transmission not to shift untill I want it to.
