98'-'03 7.3 Truck tuners for E-series?
Do the '98-'03 truck 7.3 tuners that plug into the OBD-II port work on the Vans? I have an '00 Van that I had a superchip chip that plugged into the computer that went bad and I would like to buy a used selectable for a truck if it will work.

DP Tuner can burn a chip for both... worth the money, better than superchips, banks, etc. There are others too, but I've had good luck with DP in my truck, plan one for my van as soon as I get my gauges in... Gauges First!!!!

ditto to above...
I would go with Jody, partial because I've been running one of his programs for the last 7 years, in 2 vans yet...no issues |

I have a TS Chip in mine, took a bit to install, have to remove main computer, thats the pain. I tell ya, on the 140 setting, my big bus will light tire from a stop sign. On the highway, at 65, all the settings feel the same. I run the 75hp setting most of the time. Only like $250, and took about 3hrs to install. I love it.
Once I get my new IDM, we're running to DC with the bus, and I can tell you more about how good it is. Len |

What EGT's are you guys getting running DP's 80tow/80E and TS's 75hp tunes? What effect on gas mileage has there been?
Thanks for your help.... Anybody get the Bully Dog GT or PMT to work on their 7.3 van? Last edited by rfabro; 02-14-2011 at 05:56 AM. |

Yah looking for a tuner for 2001 E350 called superchips landline and the guy told me WE DO NOT support E series vans After selling me one I have not installed it because I cannot start the truck. Go figure that one out pretty sure it will communicate with the. PCM I mean why not same motor just different shell. Same company different tech different answer. Meanwhile parked ln my driveway looking for an answer at least I am out of the street sweepers 55 dollar ticket.

well I started the truck
After plugging the block heater for an hour it kicked right over?? oil too thick?
San Francisco is not known for freezing tempts any ideas out there?? The wife let me park in my own driveway so I could plug her in whoopee. After the usual 15 minute warm up the engine sounded smooth and strong. |
